Former FBI Director James Comey testifies before the Senate this morning, so during last night’s Late Night, Seth Meyers took “A Closer Look” at Comey’s opening remarks, which were released yesterday ahead of today’s hearing. Meyers says the interactions with Trump that Comey describes in his testimony sound like “a terrible Tinder date,” where Trump […]

Rachel Bloom Made an Emmy Campaign Video About Why She Hates Emmy Campaign Videos

Sure, Rachel Bloom can say she’s a Golden Globe winner for her performance in Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, but don’t assume that means she cares about awards shows. Like fellow comedian T.J. Miller, Bloom recognizes that awards – more specifically, the way TV stars  shamelessly campaign for nominations — are a vain and ultimately meaningless affair, which naturally […]

Something about the tone and posture of Jefferies makes the satire go […]

Point, Counterpoint, break into laughter on Late Night with Seth Meyers

I’m a big fan of Amber Ruffin’s on-air contributions to NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers, but this bit takes the cake and eats it, too. Meyers hosted a segment called “Point, Counterpoint” in which two of his writers, Ruffin and Ally Hord, would debate the merits of the new Wonder Woman movie. All goes […]
